The optical module comprises the components of: a TOSA (13), a ROSA (14), an I-shaped metal fitting (12) and EMI absorbing members (11a-11d). The TOSA (13) holds a transmitting module side optical fiber. The ROSA (14) holds a receiving module side optical fiber. The I-shaped metal fitting (12) is placed between the TOSA (13) and the ROSA (14) so that the side surfaces of the TOSA (13) and the ROSA (14) are parallel. The EMI absorbing member (11a) is placed on parts of the upper surfaces of the TOSA (13) and the ROSA (14). The EMI absorbing members (11c,11d) are respectively placed on one part of the upper surface and the lower surface of the TOSA (13). |
