Preparation method of beta-glycol monoacetate

The invention relates to a preparation method of beta-glycol monoacetate. The preparation method comprises the following steps: performing the processes of acetalation (alpha-hydroxy group protection), esterification (beta-hydroxyacetic esterification) and alcoholysis (alpha-hydroxy group deprotection) on glycerin as a raw material to obtain beta-glycol monoacetate with the purity of more than 90%, wherein both the esterification and the alcoholysis processes are conducted at the relatively low temperature; due to the adoption of the process for group deprotection by the alcoholysis, the shortcomings of beta-acyl migration possibly caused by hydrolysis and high price of hydrogenolysis are overcome, so that the synthetic method has the characteristics of simple process, mild condition, high selectivity and low cost.
