Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a chuck. The chuck is used for containing and clamping an external insert. The chuck comprises a spindle, locking pieces and a locking nut. The spindle is provided with an inner cavity used for containing a working head and formed axially, and containing grooves communicated with the inner cavity radially are formed in the spindle. The locking pieces are contained in the containing grooves and can move in the radial direction of the spindle. The spindle is sleeved with the locking unit, the locking nut is spirally connected with the spindle in a matched mode, the inner wall of the locking nut is provided with a compressing face in the axial direction of the spindle, the compressing face forces the locking pieces to move radially when the locking nut is screwed in the axial direction of the spindle, and the compressing face is separated from the locking pieces when the locking nut is unscrewed.
