The invention relates to a torque coupling, comprising a first coupling half (6) that has a first coupling thread (10), a second coupling half (7) that has a second coupling thread (11) having a direction of rotation that is opposite to the first coupling thread (10) and is fastened to the first coupling half (6) in such a way as to be rotationally fixed to the first coupling half and axially movable relative to the first coupling half (6), and a sleeve (9) having a first sleeve thread (12) and a second sleeve thread (13), wherein each of the sleeve threads (12, 13) is screwed to one of the coupling threads (10, 11) and the sleeve (9) is driven by a variable-speed drive unit (15) in such a way that the sleeve (9) can be rotated by means of the drive unit (15) at an angular velocity that is different from the angular velocity of the coupling halves (6, 7), such that the axial distance (21) of the coupling halves (6, 7) from each other can be changed, and can be rotated synchronously with the coupling halves (5
