The stay wire tool comprises at least two positioning frames for being clamped on the detected vehicle framework waist rail. Each positioning frame is provided with a sliding clamping mechanism, and the two ends of a construction line used for measuring the straight line degree of the vehicle framework waist rail are fastened by the two adjacent sliding clamping mechanisms. The stay wire tool can detect the straight line degree of the vehicle framework waist rail with the length more than 10 meters, and the detecting method is simple and easy to learn.
