Zusammenfassung:	Provided is an emergency stop method for an automatic conveyor device, said emergency stop method being capable of reliably stopping the automatic conveyor device during an emergency. Said emergency stop method is an emergency stop control (S100) for the automatic conveyor device (10), which is provided with: a traveling trolley (11); an obstacle sensor (16) that detects an obstacle in a specified detection range (D); and a stop device (17) that stops the traveling trolley (11) when the obstacle is detected by the obstacle sensor (16). When the traveling trolley (11) is emergency-stopped, the detection range (D) of the obstacle sensor (16) is extended by an operator, and the obstacle is detected in an extended detection range (Dn) by means of the obstacle sensor (16), thereby stopping the automatic conveyor device (10) by means of the stop device (17).
