Zusammenfassung:	The invention discloses a plant ecological thermal insulation method for a building roof. The method includes the steps of firstly, building a blocking side boundary by laying bricks on a waterproof layer on the building roof and the periphery of the building roof, and laying cement mortar in the area of the blocking side boundary; secondly, sowing seeds to plant sedum lineare thunb or other crassulaceae plants on the cement mortar which is not solidified yet; thirdly, covering the whole with organic fertilizers. By means of the method, the problems that in the prior art, thermal insulation materials are not good in thermal insulation effect, and general plants are high in thermal insulation cost and difficult to maintain are effectively solved, and therefore application and popularization of the building roof greening and thermal insulation technology can be easily promoted.
