Zusammenfassung:	A portable electronic device and a related methods are described using an integrated chemical sensor (12,21) linked to a chemical sensor processing unit (211,23,25)and being sensitive to the concentration of a component in a sample of air and one or more contextual sensors (271,272,273) not including chemical, temperature and humidity sensors (13,24), wherein output from the contextual sensors (271,272,273) is linked to a local or remote interpretation processor (29) generating a constraint or correlation set transferred to the chemical sensor processing unit(211,23,25) for use in determining a result of a chemical measurement as performed by the chemical sensor (12,21).
