The concrete small hollow building block comprises the following components in percent by weight: 40% of coal ashes, 10% of coal gangues, 20% of waste residues, 11% of tailings, 11% of cement, 6% of quick lime and 2% of stone ash. The concrete small hollow building block formula disclosed by the invention adopts coal gangue to replace clay as a brick-making material, so that cultivated land can be saved; and when bricks are steam-cured, coals can be saved by utilizing combustibles of the coal gangues. The waste can be changed into things of value and comprehensively utilized by utilizing the coal gangues, so that pollution is solved.
