Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:	The invention enables detection of an obstacle over a relatively large distance even when a voltage supplied from a power supply to a sensor varies. A vehicle obstacle detection device is provided with: a sensor that transmits and receives ultrasound; and a controller that makes the sensor transmit ultrasound, and compares the amplitude of a reflected wave received by the sensor to a threshold value, thereby determining whether an obstacle exists. The controller is provided with a voltage monitoring section that detects the power supply voltage, and sets the threshold value such that the lower the power supply voltage detected by the voltage monitoring section, the smaller the value set for said threshold value.
