The invention discloses a resource release method for a broadband trunked communication system. The method comprises that a non-speaking right user reports a terminal state to a base station; and if the base station determines a community does not have a non-speaking right user according to terminal state reported conditions in the community of established group resources, downlink shared channel resources shared by all non-speaking right users in the community are released.
