Method for identifying gesture on touch panel

The present invention provides a method for identifying a gesture on a touch panel, mainly comprises the steps of judging a sum of distances of a plurality of objects in the touch panel before and after moving, then calculating a variation of the sum of the distances before and after moving, and determining whether the variation exceeds a preset value, and if the variation exceeds the preset value, a first gesture is identified. The first gesture is identified as a grab gesture or a spread gesture based on whether the variation is positive or negative. Therefore, the method of the present invention only needs three fingers and can trigger the grab/spread gesture with an enough long moving distance.
