| Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a method for generating electrical energy in a motor vehicle by means of a thermoelectric generator (2) which is coupled to at least one electric consumer (3) and has a multiplicity of thermoelectric modules (4). According to the invention, module open-circuit voltages of the modules (4) are determined and the modules (4) in question are determined and are connected electrically serially to one another, a sum of the module open-circuit voltages of said modules reaching twice a predefined generator output voltage with the smallest possible deviation.
