Method of installing a driver to emulate a network card

There is provided a method of installing a driver to emulate a network card for communicating between a host and a device, wherein a host operating system class of the host is detected from the device side, comprising the steps of: (i) detecting the host operating system class from the device side by USB enumeration; (ii) attempting to install a first driver to emulate a network card on the host corresponding to the detected host operating system class, wherein the installed first driver is operable to enable communication between the host and the device, and terminating the method if the first driver is successfully installed. The method may further comprise the step of: (iii) If the first driver installation in (ii) is unsuccessful, attempting to install a second driver to emulate a network card on the host corresponding to an operating system class different to the detected host operating system class, wherein the installed second driver is operable to enable communication between the host and the device,
