The invention provides a method of mutual user authentication between mobile terminals by a collision way, wherein the method is applied to two mobile terminals using application program clients. After collision, comparison of collision time point data, collision parameters and application program names with the nearby mobile terminal is carried out to carry out authentication; and a user identification code in the application program is sent to a background server to carry out mutual user authentication operation. According to the invention, on the basis of the simple mode, the authentication operation between users can be executed only by the simple motion of mutual mobile phone collision of the users; the reliability is high; and the authentication operation of friend invitation between application programs of the mobile terminals can be carried out rapidly and conveniently.
