Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to natural health products, in particular to application of a black onion. The black onion obtained by self-fermentation can be used for preparing health care products, condiments, anti-thrombotic drugs or hypoglycemic drugs. For the black onion provided by the invention, self-fermentation of common onion is adopted, so that the antioxidant capacity is over 10 times higher than that of common onion, and the polyphenol content is also more than 10 times higher than that of common onion. The black onion has the effects of resisting fatigue, resisting thrombosis, delay aging, reducing blood sugar, improving immunity and the like. With a high amino acid content, the black onion is fragrant and sweet, and has no pungent taste of common onion.
