Method for producing coated vacuum metallized substrates with high vapour and oxygen barrier properties
The present invention relates to a process for preparing a metallised sheetlike substrate suitable as flexible packaging material having a moisture vapour transmission rate (MVTR) of below 20 g/m2 d and an oxygen transmission rate (OTR) of below 25 cm3/m2 d bar, comprising the steps of: a) depositin...

Zusammenfassung: | The present invention relates to a process for preparing a metallised sheetlike substrate suitable as flexible packaging material having a moisture vapour transmission rate (MVTR) of below 20 g/m2 d and an oxygen transmission rate (OTR) of below 25 cm3/m2 d bar, comprising the steps of: a) depositing on a non-woven sheetlike substrate at least a first coating composition selected from the group consisting of i) film forming protein in combination with a polymer binder; ii) a polyvinylidene chloride solution, emulsion or dispersion, and iii) an aqueous dispersion of a clay and a polymer binder and combinations thereof, to form a first coating layer, and b) applying a metal layer by vacuum deposition on the first coating layer; and to the products thus obtainable. |
