The invention discloses a tackifier for addition type organosilicone packaging glue and a preparation method of the tackifier, belonging to the technical field of tackifiers. The preparation method comprises the steps: by using alkoxy silane with different degrees of functionality as a monomer, performing cohydrolytic condensation at a temperature of 40-100 DEG C in the presence of a catalyst to obtain a colorless transparent siloxane oligomer; and then reacting the siloxane oligomer with a boronic acid derivative to prepare a borate modified organosilicone tackifier suitable for a hydrosilylation system. The tackifier has the advantages of simple process, mild reaction conditions, good repeatability and controllability, and the like, and is expected to be widely applied to the fields of packaging of electron devices, light emitting diodes and photovoltaic modules.
