Grounding unit and electric connector employing same

The invention provides a grounding unit. The grounding unit is used for being assembled with a plurality of transmission units to form an electric connector and mainly comprises a first substrate and a grounding conductive component arranged in the first substrate and provided with a plurality of first grounding terminals and a plurality of second grounding terminals; the first grounding terminals correspond to first transmission terminals in the transmission units; the second grounding terminals and second transmission terminals in the transmission units are used for being plugged into a circuit board. Accordingly, the electric connector with the grounding unit provided by the invention can form a shield through the grounding unit so as to effectively prevent electromagnetic wave interference, crosstalk and the like, the signal transmission rate and quality can be improved and the advantage of high heat radiation efficiency is achieved.
