The invention aims at providing a method, device and facility for selecting mobile device types. The method includes the steps of obtaining device platform information of mobile devices corresponding to applications to be tested and at least one item of device index information required by operating the mobile devices corresponding to the applications to be tested; conducting inquiring in device information bases of the mobile devices with device platforms represented by the device platform information according to the at least one item of device index information, and determining at least one mobile device type meeting all or part of the at least one item of device index information. The method, device and facility have the advantages that inquiring is carried out in the device information bases of the device platforms which the applications are based on according to the device index information, and the mobile device types suitable for the tested applications can be automatically supplied to a technician.
