The invention discloses a method for preparing phase transition insulation mortar and a test method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps of: (1) screening the vitreous beads according to granularity, and then drying in a baking oven; (2) under conditions of water-bath heating and continuous mechanical stirring, carrying out adsorption of phase transition material n-octadecane by utilizing capillary absorption affinity of micropores of the vitreous beads, to form a composite phase transition material; and (3) mixing cement, water and composite phase transition material to prepare the phase transition insulation mortar.
