Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a heat exchanger (1), in particular an exhaust or charge air heat exchanger (2). The heat exchanger comprises a housing (3) having a housing casing (4), a first base (5) and a second base having openings (6), pipes (7) as a first flow channel (9) for conducting a first fluid, in particular exhaust gas, a first inlet opening (11) for the first fluid, a first outlet opening for the first fluid, a second inlet opening (12) for the second fluid, a second outlet opening for the second fluid, a first diffusor (13) for directing the first fluid into the pipes (7), and a second diffusor for directing the first fluid out of the pipes (7), wherein the ends of the pipes are arranged in or on the openings (6) of the first and second bases (5), and the pipes (7) and the first and/or the second base (5) are arranged within the housing (3) so that a second flow channel (10) for conducting a second fluid, in particular a coolant, is designed between the housing (3) and the pipes (7). The heat exchang
