The invention relates to a modular on-board galley, in particular an aircraft galley (11), and to a method for assembling a galley of this kind which comprises, as areas of use, a main element and at least one add-on element divided into compartments for accommodating drawers and devices, which compartments are designed with mechanical connections for connecting the elements and inserts or devices and electrical and electronic device connection means and device supply lines. The intention is to provide a modular on-board galley of this kind which can not only be designed in a variable manner but also allows the galley to be completed in a simple manner with preassembled space-saving block- and housing-like fittings and add-ons of which the dimensions are nevertheless compact, in particular in an aircraft which is fully equipped with seats, cabinets and on-board toilets, without these installed parts having to be removed beforehand.
