Zusammenfassung:	The invention discloses an IPv6 host routing table item dynamic update method and an Ethernet switch. The IPv6 host routing table item dynamic update method includes the steps of monitoring whether neighbor nodes are off-line or not according to IPv6 host routing table items in an IPv6 host routing table, and deleting the IPv6 host routing table items, corresponding to the off-line neighbor nodes, in the IPv6 host routing table when it is monitored that the neighbor nodes are off-line. According to the IPv6 host routing table item dynamic update method and the Ethernet switch, the situation that the IPv6 host routing table is occupied by the invalid IPv6 host routing table items can be prevented, and therefore the use ratio of the IPv6 host routing table of the Ethernet switch is improved.
