Zusammenfassung:	The invention discloses an extended-range power system and a double-voltage protection method thereof. The extended-range power system comprises a power battery pack, a super-capacitor pack, a first contactor, a second contactor, a power diode, a pre-charge loop, a power generation system, a driving system and a vehicle control unit, wherein the first contactor and the second contactor are electrically connected with the power battery pack and the super-capacitor pack respectively, the vehicle control unit controls the first contactor, the second contactor and the pre-charge loop to realize double-voltage operation when monitoring that the power generation system fails and the voltage of the super-capacitor pack cannot rise. Therefore, a double-voltage platform of the power system can operate under any operating conditions, efficient recovery of brake energy is ensured, and the fuel saving ratio of a complete vehicle is effectively increased.
