The method can comprise the steps of obtaining the human face characteristics and voice print chrematistics of a user requesting identity authentication, judging whether the obtained human face characteristics are legal or not by comparing the obtained human face characteristics with a preset human face characteristic model of a legal person, judging whether the obtained voice print chrematistics are legal or not by comparing the obtained voice print chrematistics with a preset legal voice print characteristic model, and confirming the pass of the authentication if the obtained human face characteristics and the obtained voice print characteristics are both legal. Through the fact that the combination of the human face and the voice which are special and unique biological natures of everybody is used for the identity authentication, the safety of the identity authentication is improved effectively.
