When a message interaction is detected, a network type of a network for transmitting an interactive message data packet is determined. If the determined network type is local area network (LAN), a format processing of the interactive message data packet according to a preset data format is performed. The format-processed interactive message data packet may be transmitted via a LAN,or displayed in an IM application.
