The invention provides an inhalant composition capable of treating the chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which comprises sodium pyruvate, sodium chloride and water, wherein in the inhalant composition, the mass molarity of the sodium pyruvate is 0.5-6mmol/kg, and the mass percent of the sodium chloride is 0.85-0.95%.
