Zusammenfassung:	The present invention discloses a composition for restraining growth of oral pathogenic bacteria. The composition contains an effective dose of bacillus subtilis (berlese probiotics BS 139), a diluents, an excipient or a carrier. The growth of the oral pathogenic bacteria is restrained through antibiotics in short-chain polypeptides secreted by the bacillus subtilis. The oral pathogenic bacteria are streptococcus mutans, and the bacillus subtilis are bacterial strains which are preserved in the NRRL of Agricultural Research Service and whose preservation No. is NRRL No. B-50347. Additionally, the bacillus subtilis can also be used as a method for restraining the growth of the oral pathogenic bacteria, where the abovementioned composition is applied to individuals.
