The invention provides a remote control method for a wireless router and a remote-control wireless router. According to the method, WIFI function of the wireless router is fully utilized, and control signals are sent to the wireless router through a special WIFI wireless remote controller, so that the wireless router can perform pre-set instructions and thus the wireless router can be remotely controlled. Users can control the wireless router to perform related operations through a small remote controller, such remote control is similar to traditional arrangements of management interfaces of the remote-control wireless routers, while the operation is relatively convenient, only with a click on a button.
