Zusammenfassung:	Provided is a novel method for reducing carbon dioxide. The present invention is a method for reducing carbon dioxide using an apparatus (20) for reducing carbon dioxide. This method for reducing carbon dioxide comprises: a step (a) of preparing the apparatus (20) that comprises a tank (21) in which an electrolyte solution (15) that contains carbon dioxide is held, a cathode electrode (11) which contains a copper rubeanate coordination polymer that is in contact with the electrolyte solution (15), and an anode electrode (13) which is in contact with the electrolyte solution (15); and a step (b) of reducing the carbon dioxide by applying a voltage difference between the cathode electrode (11) and the anode electrode (13).
