The invention relates to a battery pack which can be worn on back, and specifically relates to a rechargeable battery pack for an electrical load (3) with the load being connected to the rechargeable battery pack (10) by a connection cable (12). A housing (14) of the rechargeable battery pack has an inner space (18) for accommodating a large number of rechargeable individual cells (28) which are electrically connected to one another and supply the load via the connection cable. To provide the housing with a high level of stability, provision is made for the receiving space in the housing to be subdivided into individual receptacles (55) by partition walls (51,52).
