The outer wall (105, 303) defines a cylindrically- shaped outer surface (108, 302). A recess (122) can be disposed within cylindrical surface (108, 302) of the body (106, 301). An alignment member or portion (120) can be press-fit between two staked ends (124) of the recess (122), which engage opposite sides (142, 144) of the alignment member (120). An alignment member or portion (120, 320) extends outwardly from the cylindrically-shaped surface (108, 302). A roller (110) is mounted to the contiguous body (106, 301) at the cam contacting end (102) of the tappet (100, 300).
