The invention relates to a gypsum-cement heat insulation masonry mortar which is prepared by blending gypsum-cement, cellulose ether and expanded perlite, wherein the volume ratio of the gypsum-cement is 12.5-16.6%, the volume ratio of the expanded perlite is 84.4-87.5%, the cellulose ether is added as an additive, and the addition of the cellulose ether is 0.70-1.30% of the volume of gypsum-cement. The gypsum-cement heat insulation masonry mortar is low in manufacturing cost, good in mechanical property, low in coefficient of thermal conduction, good in heat insulating property and good in construction performance, so that the gypsum-cement heat insulation masonry mortar is a heat insulation masonry mortar with good comprehensive performance, and can be used as a heat insulation masonry mortar for aerated concrete building blocks and foamed silicate building blocks.
