High solids antifouling paint composition

The present application discloses a self-polishing antifouling coating composition comprising a) a base component comprising a pre-polymer which i) has alkoxysilyl-functional group(s) and/or ii) is curable in the presence of a curing agent and / or a curing catalyst, and has at least one side chain bearing at least one terminal group of the formula I -X-O-(SiR1R2O)n-SiR3R4R5, wherein X represents carbonyl (>C=O), n is an integer from0-5,000,and R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 are selected from C1-20-alkyl and optionally substituted phenyl; and b) the curing agent/the curing catalyst. The application also discloses i) a corresponding kit comprising the antifouling paint composition, wherein a first container holds the base component and a second container holds a component b; ii) a corresponding base component for an antifouling paint composition comprising a hydroxy-functional pre-polymer having terminal group(s) of the general formula I; iii) a marine structure; and iv) a method of coating the structure.
