The invention relates to an eccentric shaft of a pavement roller vibration generator. The shaft body of the eccentric shaft is cylindrical; a sliding chute axially parallel to the shaft body is arranged inside the shaft body; a chute opening of the sliding chute is positioned on the circular circumference on one side of the shaft body; the sliding chute is internally provided with an eccentric sliding block; the bottom end of the eccentric sliding block is connected with the bottom of the sliding chute through an extension spring; and the barycenter of the eccentric shaft composed of the eccentric sliding block and the shaft body is positioned on the axle of the shaft body when the extension spring is located at a reset state. The eccentric degree can automatically change along with the rotary speed, so that gentle starting is realized, and the vibration is stopped quickly.
