File search method and device thereof

The invention discloses a file search method. The file search method comprises the steps of (1) using a target file and/or a first character in a name of a target folder as a search character when search is carried out on the target file and/or the target folder, and carrying out filter matching on all files and/or all folders; and (2) selecting a character after the first character step by step, and respectively using the character as a search character according to a sequence of characters in the target file and/or the name of the target folder when the target file and/or target folder does not exist in a filter matching result, and continuously searching the target file and/or the target folder until the target file and/or the target folder is obtained through filtration.
