Switch

A switch can guarantee current conversion of an electric arc and guarantees safety of a circuit and reliability of interruption even during small direct current interruption where current conversion toward an arc-suppression angular part or an arc suppressor of the electric arc is difficult. The switch comprises a pair of contacts (4, 5), the contact points of which can be contacted with each other and separated from each other via a drive mechanism part (11), an arc suppression grid (7) used for suppressing arc generated between the contact points in an open circuit, and an electric arc current conversion part (arc suppressor (80)) arranged, in the electric arc progressing direction of at least one of the contact, to be idiostaic with the contact, a plurality of bumps being repeatedly arranged on at least one part of the surface of the electric arc current conversion part according to a stipulated interval along the direction intersecting the electric arc progressing direction.
