Zusammenfassung:	This thin film solar cell is configured such that a back surface electrode layer, a photoelectric conversion layer, and a transparent electrode layer are laminated in this order on one surface of an insulating substrate, a rear surface electrode layer is film-formed on the other surface, and that the back surface electrode layer and the rear surface electrode layer are electrically connected to each other via a second through hole that penetrates the insulating substrate, and furthermore, the transparent electrode layer in a region that surrounds at least the second through hole has a transparent electrode layer removing portion to be removed using an ultraviolet pulse laser beam, and that the transparent electrode layer and the rear surface electrode layer are electrically insulated from each other by means of the second through hole.
