Cascade type solar battery and manufacturing method thereof

The invention provides a cascade type solar battery and a manufacturing of the cascade type solar battery. The cascade type solar battery comprises a substrate, a transparent conductive oxide layer, a top-portion p-i-n structure, a bottom-portion p-i-n structure, a stress generating layer, and a back metal layer which are sequentially piled. Under the effect of the stress generating layer, tensile strain occurs in the bottom-portion p-i-n structure so as to enable an energy band gap of an I-shaped layer of the p-i-n structure to be reduced, and therefore the I-shaped layer is enabled to be wider in the range of absorption wavelength, current carrier mobility of the cascade type solar battery is increased, resistance is reduced, and photovoltaic conversion efficiency of the solar battery is improved.
