Ticket number recognition method based on optical character recognition (OCR) technology

The invention provides a ticket number recognition method based on an optical character recognition (OCR) technology. The method sequentially comprises the following steps: collecting ticket images; carrying out binarization processing on the ticket images; utilizing a Freeman traight line detection algorithm to obtain a possible ticket number area; carrying out refining recognition according to a ticket number recognition feature which is preset by a system; obtaining a ticket number recognition result through using of an OCR recognition method; and carrying out verifying. According to the ticket number recognition method based on the OCR technology, the ticket umber area does not required to be pre-pointed in the recognition process, and recognition accuracy is high.
