Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates in its preferred embodiment, a stator (1 ') of the electromagnetic retarder for mounting on a transmission housing or on a deck of a vehicle, comprising at least one coil assembly (2) electromagnetic, two flanges (5 ', 5 '') and an identical radial annular shoe (6) on each asymmetric polar radial transverse surface of the two ends of each of said electromagnetic coil, and fixed by means of an axial central screw (7), fixing studs holes symmetrical relative to a median plane (M) between said transverse faces parallel to the latter and, attached to said support (5 ', 5 '') of coil (2) for attaching said electromagnetic stator (1') one side or the other of said transverse faces a stator supporting said vehicle using fasteners.
