Zusammenfassung: | This invention relates to a lens body (10) for focusing light from a light source supported on a substrate (70) into a corresponding optical fiber. The lens body includes a body (12) of an optically-clear moldable material that includes at least the following features. It includes a port (14) for supporting at least one optical fiber (120) and the port having a contact surface (16) positioned to interface with the optical fiber when the fiber is supported in the port. It also includes an active lens (24) adapted to cooperate optically with a respective light source to focus light along a respective optical path between the light source and a corresponding optical fiber (120).
