Zusammenfassung:The present invention relates to a probe, a system, use and a method for laser-optical determination of the height of a strand guide roller, in particular to a measuring contact probe for sampling the circumference surface of a cylindrical roller and the method for laser-optical determination of the height of a strand guide roller through using a measuring system, which can rapidly and accurately determine the real height of the strand guide roller. The probe comprises a contact probe, to which a vertical guide profile (4) is rigidly connected. A laser receiver unit has a detector array and a distance evaluation unit, which is slid in the vertical direction on the guide profile. The laser beam (8) is detected by detector array. The first vertical distance of laser beam relative to laser receiving unit is determined by distance evaluation unit. The second vertical distance between the contact probe and the laser receiver unit is determined by a displacement measuring device.
