Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a furnace for directional solidification of crystals, comprising a crucible, heating elements (21), a thermal shielding and a thermal exchanger (27). The thermal shielding includes two first shutters and two second shutters according to the axis of symmetry. The first shutters deviate and approach each other and the axis of symmetry by translatory movements. The second shutters deviate and approach each other and the axis of symmetry by translatory movements. Directions of translation of the first and second shutters are orthogonal.
