Elevator apparatus

Provided is an elevator apparatus which can suppress the peak power when the elevator drives toward the standby floor and can reduce power consumption without damaging the convenience of passengers. The elevator apparatus includes a standby elevator determining unit (29) which can determine an elevator car to be a standby elevator when the elevator car (1) is not at the standby floor and is free of hallway calling and car destination floor entering; a standby floor determining unit (30) determining the standby floor of the elevator car (1) of the standby elevator; a predicted time calculating unit (31) calculating the predicted time (TA) for the standby elevator until a new next hallway calling is generated; and a speed and accelerated speed determining unit (32) which determines the speed and accelerated speed for the elevator car (1) of the standby elevator to drive to the standby floor in the predicted time (TA).
