Wound package with separate strands

A wound package comprises a plurality of assembled strands (5). The strands (5) coming from a spinneret (11) are separated into at least 2 blankets. Each one of the blankets forming a roving of the strands (5) is wound on the same wound package with the help of a shed winding device (6). A separation device (15) is equipped with a traveler (7), which makes it possible to deposit simultaneously, on the surface of the wound package, the strands (5) that have been so separated.
