Zusammenfassung:The rear vehicle body structure (100) has a rear floor panel forming a bottom surface of a rear part of a vehicle body of a hybrid vehicle or an electric vehicle (110). A battery (114) is installed in the rear part of the vehicle body. A pair of side elements are arranged along the side ends of the rear floor panel, and extend in a vehicle longitudinal direction. A cross element is arranged between the pair of side elements, where a frame element surrounds the battery on each sides. The frame element is fixed to the vehicle outer side of the pair of side elements.
