Image noise reduction processing method for protecting remarkable edge

The invention relates to the technology of video signal processing and discloses an image noise reduction processing method for protecting remarkable edge. The method conducts sharpening processing on an image while reducing noise, protects the remarkable edge of the image and improves image quality accordingly. Based on steering filtering kernel, the method is combined with a Laplace sharpening filter and constructs the image sharpening standard to ingeniously combine two paradoxical processes including noise reduction and sharpening, simultaneously finishes two processes of noise reduction and sharpening, cannot excessively blur the edge of the image while restraining noise, well protects the remarkable edge, avoids negative effect of smooth blurring in the traditional single noise reduction technology and is suitable for noise reduction processing of the image.
