PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of easily inserting a flexible printed wiring board with projection parts projecting in a width direction in a housing.SOLUTION: A connector 10 comprises: a plurality of contacts 3, 4 having contact points 3aa, 4aa that can contact conductor patterns of the flexible printed wiring board (FPC) inserted in a housing 1; and a lever 5 that can freely undulate to the housing 1 between a position at which the FPC is pressed in a thickness direction of the FPC to pressure-weld the conductor patterns and the contact points 3aa, 4aa, and a position at which the FPC is not pressed. The housing 1 is provided with a locking part 1f that can lock the projection parts separated from a tip edge of the FPC and projecting in a width direction of the FPC to temporarily hold the FPC, and an inner wall 1aa on a deeper side than the locking part 1f has an inclined face contacting the tip edge and reducing displacement of the conductor patterns and the contact points 3aa, 4aa as the FPC is inserted.
